VMS Solutions attends the 2015 Winter Simulation Conference Huntington beach, California, USA – Dec 6-9, 2015 – VMS Solutions attends the 2015 Winter Simulation Conference (WSC). The Winter Simulation Conference (WSC) is the premier international forum for disseminating recent advances in the field of system simulation. In addition to a technical program of unsurpassed scope and quality, WSC provides the central meeting place for simulation practitioners, researchers, and vendors working in all disciplines in industry, service, government, military and academic sectors. It is an opportunity for VMS Solutions to connect with attendees over a four day event. Not only is VMS Solutions able to greet users at their booth, But they also has a software demonstration. [Presentations at WSC] 1) MOZART Overview : This presentation describes the VMS Solutions modeling system that is designed to simplify model building. MOZART provides specialized pre-built libraries according to manufacturing industries and application. Its configuration tool helps users construct their own system by choosing models, features and rules to meet their needs with great ease. 2) DEMO 1 : Wafer Manufacturing : This presentation describes the MOZART demonstration, here is walkthrough of the planning and scheduling system construction for wafer production process. FAB Wafer production starts from growing ingot from silicon crystals, slicing it into set of wafers, grinding / polishing edges & surfaces, and ends at final cleaning / testing phase. 3) DEMO 2 : What-if Simulation : This presentation consists of three scenarios that Demand Change, Equipment PM, Demand Priority Change. ‘Demand Change’ scenario is as follows : If the demand for PW6 product during the mid June has been decreased by approximately 350 units and increased by about 500 unit after the 20th, analyze the effect on production flow and target satisfaction by Demand Change. The second ‘Equipment PM’ scenario is as follows : If five (Polishing) machines are scheduled down (i.e. preventive maintenance) for four days, evaluate the change in equipment utilization, production quantity, and target satisfaction. Finally third scenario is for observing how change of demand priority of specific product has affect on the achievement rate.
